Yoga In Daily Life: Hari Om

Swamiji

We have just hosted His Holiness Vishwaguruji Paramhans Swami Maheshwaranand ji and a large group of his followers – who refer to him more simply as Swamiji.

Swamiji is the founder of the worldwide movement Yoga In Daily Life – and has also set up a number of charitable organizations – more on that at http://www.yogaindailylife.org/

Yoga class with all welcome

It was an extraordinary two weeks in all the best sense of the word – unusual, exciting, uplifting. Each day started with songs and chanting at 5.45 am, followed by meditation and yoga before breakfast. Later on there was time for Satsang, sometimes held on the deck of Swamiji’s villa, sometimes in the gardens of Daku. We all got used to seeing the yellow clothes of the group walking down to the beach or into town, and then the orange robes of Swamiji as he swept down into the big bure to join everyone for dinner at the end of the day.

A talk on the front lawn of Daku

He welcomed the staff into the morning yoga sessions and many of them came regularly – even some of their kids joined in.

The participants arrived from all over the world – Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia,  Austria, Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada. It was a memorable and beautiful retreat.
